Our administration team at Pillar Property Management are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Our office environment is one to be envied. Our staff are busy, but happy. Our systems are always being tweaked for better efficiency. There are a lot of bills, receipts, invoices, checks, letters to mail etc. to keep track of, and they have done a great job to keep on top of it all. But of course, they would love to have more papers to sort through. So feel free to buy more properties :)
Though we try our best to keep our tenants as long as possible, often they have their own life goals that involve moving on. Usually, we have a seamless transition. (One out another in the next day) Unfortunately that's not always the case. Though we screen quite thoroughly, every now and then an eviction is required. This is probably one of the worst parts of property management. No one enjoys it. However, you the investor need not worry about it, because we will handle everything from the eviction letter to the court appearance if it gets to that point.
In case of emergency
Don't worry, we've got you covered! We have 24 hour emergency service available to tenants. What this means is that in the event of a major emergency - such as a water line bursts at 3:00 am, or the furnace quits working - one of our maintenance personnel will go deal with the problem and fix it. Unfortunately, not all problems are a quick fix. Sometimes we will apply a temporary solution, and fix the problem properly at a more reasonable hour.
Out of Province Investors
As an out of province investor you need not worry. We are very experienced in this area as approximately 55% of our clientele live outside of Manitoba. We take care of your property investments as if they were our own. The Winnipeg rental market is unique from the rest of Canada and requires a certain amount of skill when deciding on an investment property.
